Supporting Student Access & Success through Community Engagement in Southern Colorado

Campus teams from four Southern Colorado institutions (Adams State College, Colorado State University-Pueblo, Fort Lewis College and University of Colorado Colorado Springs) will come together on June 25-26 in Alamosa, CO to create institutional community engagement plans.  Southern Colorado has a unique identity, both in the culture of individual colleges and universities and in the student populations they serve. Community engagement is a powerful tool in helping to ensure students maintain access to and persist in higher education and are successful both academically and personally. The Southern Colorado Engaged Campus Institute will specifically focus on areas of non-traditional and first year service and civic initiatives. Participant teams will leave the institute with individual campus action plans and the resources necessary for plan implementation.

The workshop is facilitated by Colorado Campus Compact. For more information, contact our director of member services, kkleinhesselink [at] regis [dot] edu (Katie Kleinhesselink.)
