Dear Friends and Colleagues, I’m pleased to formally announce a new pilot program of Colorado Campus Compact! As a direct response to feedback from our member campuses, we have created a Scholarship of Engagement grant program for the 2011-2012 academic year. The detailed program description and application criteria are below, but here’s the short version:We will offer five mini grants of up to $750 each to support both community-based research projects and the creation of new service/community-based learning courses. Campuses must provide a $250 match (either cash or in-kind). Two grants will be awarded in the fall semester, three in the spring. Proposals will be reviewed and selected by a panel of our Advisory Committee members. Applications for the first round are due electronically by 5pm on Friday, September 21st, 2011.
