Matt Gray, M.A. has taught service-learning courses and lead service-learning trips in the University setting for the past ten years. During that time, he served as the Civic Engagement Programs Manager in the Community Leadership Institute at Johnson & Wales University helping to reform and build service-learning courses across the arts and sciences, and career-based disciplines. In addition to his work with educating and training fellow faculty, Mr. Gray collaborated with more than 50 different community organizations in Metro Denver to create and deliver high-impact service experiences for students. At the Johnston Center for Integrative Studies at the University of Redlands in California, Mr. Gray studied and taught the tenets of project-based learning, experiential education and community service. While an avid service-learning practitioner, Mr. Gray has also published articles and presented workshops on community pedagogy, the Citizen Professional, the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, and critical reflection. Starting in early 2007, Mr. Gray began offering trainings on the creative process, creative leadership, community leadership and service learning.
